CS people are the most self-absorbed, narcissistic and pretentious group of students in the entire university.
what do you mean you want to be a quant/work at FAANG? let's be so real, NUS is not a target school and if you were any good you'd be in the US already.
stop acting so high and mighty like your course is much harder than ours. you chose to sign yourself up for it, now don't complain.
i don't understand why they have this entitlement to getting a high pay. your work does not require you to work long hours in the office like IB or law, can be outsourced to cheaper foreigners, and is not gatekept by knowledge. with the right tools, even a donkey can code now. and when the job market gets saturated because an entire herd of sheep suddenly discovers the pa$$ion for coding, you start complaining.
20 years ago, CS was a dumping ground for the socially inept and defective individuals of society. stop acting like that has changed despite your veneer of civility.
