Medicine/dentistry offer guaranteed employment, especially in Oncology. Aim for high RP to secure residency.

This is why I want to go medicine or dentistry. Guaranteed employment. Moreover government capped the number of medical and dental students. Even if you did not get into the residency you desired, you still can get a decent amount of pay working as a normal doctor. But of course, it is best to do residency in Oncology and treat all the patients with cancer. If you have 88.75-90 RP, it is a no brainer to put medicine and dentistry as your top 2 choice.

brother u have to study so hard to rank among the top in sg to even get the chance to enter dentistry/medicine.

after that u have to study hard for 6 years just to be bonded to govt with mediocre starting pay and 0 work life balance while your peers that graduated 2 years earlier are already starting to climb the corporate ladder

med/dentistry is the prob the least worth in terms of effort to pay ratio

u want money, u should aim for high finance
