WHY DO GAY PEOPLE HAVE TO COME OUT?

imo it's because gay couples arent really widely socially accepted, so telling their parents about it risks many consequences which can be as bad as being disowned or being threatened to be kicked out.

it's because of these implications and societal norms that do not fully accept homosexual couples that gay couples have to "come out" and overcome the apprehension of doing so

honestly, i think u saying "aren't they just ordinary people" is an amazing sign that society is becoming more inclusive and hopefully one day gay couples won't have to feel the need to "come out"

It's normal to me there's always this "paiseh" feeling letting your parents or even friends know you are seeing someone. It's completely fine to feel that way. Mostly cos u don't want people to know you're vulnerable, have them worry? I think it's already the social norm. I have seen people that are gays live life completely normal and fine like the rest of us today, in real life. Most gays you see thats making a big hooha out of everything, you only see them online. Don't yall realise? I have never seen or encounter not 1 unhappy gay person irl. I think it boils down to being hateful, desperate and attention seeking. And not a gay or straight thing cos such Ppl do exist as seen in this as seen in this gc. The horny/desperates constantly spamming, looking for pencil case. The hateful/self hating bunch bunch constantly spamming, men/women useless, foreigner bad, just anything negative basically, they just have to find someone to blame for something they lack. At the end of the day it's not hetero vs homosexuals. It's negativity vs the world.
