genuine qn but why do CS ppl act like they’re in the same genre as med/law/dent 😭
Med ppl disappear for 14 hrs and come back saying “had posting”. Law ppl disappear for 14 hrs and come back with 300 pages highlighted. Dent ppl disappear for 14 hrs and come back having apparently drilled 6 teeth and lost all sensation in their wrists.
CS ppl disappear for 14 hrs and come back saying “bro i’ve been debugging”.
med/law/dent suffering feels institutional. CS suffering feels self-inflicted.
also only in CS will ppl voluntarily reject sunlight, drink monster at 11pm, call it “the grind”, then open linkedin and realise another y1 already founded an AI startup and interned at 4 companies.
every CS convo somehow becomes TC, internships, market conditions, or whether GPT replaced them yet.
not saying CS isn’t hard ah. just saying the other 3 faculties give “professional training arc”
CS gives “competitive hobby that accidentally became a degree
