Been seeing all the freshies running around campus now for their ori... kinda regret not having more fun and just doing more stupid things when I had the chance.
I have 1 semester left before graduating, and might be on track for FCH with a solid portfolio. Also have a job lined up and managed to build up a solid professional/industrial network in two separate industries over the past few years, and am working to bridge the two together now.
I kind of realise now that I have almost made it to the finish line, but I scarified an insane amount in terms of fun and general life experience the process. Couldn't really find it in me back then to do the late night suppers, or just have fun with friends without work or some other related objective in mind. I got friends here but none that are really super super close. Also had a girlfriend, but we broke up for reasons not related to work - at least I got to experience that lol.
I wouldn't give up what I have now, but I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I am more worried that my lack of non work related life experience is going to come back and bite me later on. Also a lot of networking also comes down to vibing w people, and life experience is a part of that. Lowkey I'm want to spend my last sem screwing around as much as possible and squeezing in as much fun, but it seems that having fun is also a skill itself.
ok rant over. good night friends.
